Privacy Policy — PrepRounds

This policy describes how PrepRounds (“the app,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use it.
What PrepRounds Is
PrepRounds is a communication-practice tool for charge nurses and nurse managers. It is not a medical, legal, or HR advice service, and it does not provide clinical guidance.
- Anonymous account identifier. PrepRounds does not require an email, password, or any personally identifying sign-up information. An anonymous account is created automatically on first launch to save your practice history on your device.
- Nurse profile information you provide. Your selected role (e.g. Charge Nurse) and unit type (e.g. ICU) — used only to personalize scenario content within the app.
- Practice session data. The text of your practice conversations and the AI-generated feedback based on them, stored so you can review your history and track progress over time.
- Notification preferences. Your chosen reminder time, if you opt in to daily practice reminders.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active Pro subscription, managed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat.
- To run the core practice and feedback features of the app.
- To send you optional daily practice reminders, if you’ve opted in.
- To manage your subscription status.
We do not sell your information to third parties, and we do not use your practice conversations for advertising targeting.
Third-Party Services
PrepRounds uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — hosts the app’s database and authentication.
- Google Gemini (via a secure server-side connection) — generates the AI persona’s responses and feedback. Your practice conversation text is sent to this service to generate responses; it is not sent with any personally identifying information attached.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and status.
- Google AdMob — serves optional rewarded video ads (only shown if you choose to watch one for a bonus practice session).
- OneSignal — delivers optional push notification reminders, if you opt in.
Each of these services has its own privacy practices governing data they process on our behalf.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your practice history is stored for as long as you use the app. If you would like your data deleted, contact us using the information below.
Children’s Privacy
PrepRounds is intended for use by adult healthcare professionals and is not directed at children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
